Kishore Guda, DVM, PhD
Associate Professor, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine
Dr. Guda’s translational-oncology team is interested in decoding the molecular determinants contributing to aggressive gastroesophageal and intestinal malignancies and utilizes a spectrum of genome-scale approaches including classical genetics, systems biology, custom animal/organoid models, combined with unique patient cohorts and biopsy tissues. His team’s overarching goal is to impact clinical practice via identifying genetic risk factors contributing to inherited risk of these aggressive cancers; developing evidence-based diagnostic/prognostic biomarkers for cancer early-detection; and identifying effective treatment modalities for improving outcomes for patients with aggressive gastroesophageal cancers who are often refractory to standard chemo/radiation therapies.
